MISSION STATEMENT
Clinton Indian Church & Community Center's purpose is to provide opportunity for Native
people of Clinton Indian United Methodist Church and the surrounding community to
become involved in living out the Gospel of God's love, mercy and justice for all.

With emphasis on children and young people, we desire to empower and encourage native
children to fulfill their potential and to dream of a future with hope.
GOALS
  • Establish relationship with Cheyenne/Arapaho Tribe
  • Seek out tribal elders to teach history and native hymn to children
  • Establish mentoring programs
  • Establish After-school tutoring program
  • Begin Community gardening
  • Begin Summer Lunch program
  • Establish Computer lab

Rev Battiest is the daughter of Margaret Billy Battiest, Choctaw,
currently the District Superintendent of the Northern District of the
Oklahoma Indian Missionary Conference and Samuel Battiest, Choctaw,
a former United Methodist minister.

She has a BA from Oklahoma City University and an
M Div from Drew University, The Theological School.  She proudly
became a Church & Community Worker in June 2008.  She has been
serving as pastor of Clinton Indian United Methodist Church since Feb
2007.  Her CCW code is 3019703
